Let’s Talk About Me…

My name is Michelle Rivera and I am twenty-one years old. I am from San Diego, Ca and lived there till I was eighteen years old. I attend San Jose State University; I am a junior broadcast journalism major. My favorite color is red, mainly because red never looks tacky. Cooking is my favorite pastime because I enjoy making things that make people happy. I learned how to cook from my mother and I see cooking as her way of passing on family traditions. I enjoy scrapbooking as well because it is a great way to log memories. I am involved with an organization called the Student Diversity Leadership Conference and it is my number one passion. I enjoy discussing issues of diversity, while opening kids eyes to the diversity in their own environments. I have been involved with this cause for five years and I cannot imagine my life without it. My strength as a writer is being able to tell a story. I am good at telling stories and explaining my research. My weaknesses are grammar rules, AP style rules and spelling. I tend to write in a hurry and I do not go back and proofread.
